12 Harrysong – Five Star Music Group
In 2014 Harrysong – fresh out of a feud with Question Mark records over contract issues – signed for Five Star Music Group – after the label has redeemed its contract with the above label. He grew up as an artist and made the monster’s success – Reggae Blues in Five Star. He also wrote most of the songs that improved Kcee’s solo position – including Limpopo and Pull Over. Everything seemed fine until November 2016, when Harrysong announced that his contract with Five Star Music was over and he put his own brand – Alter Plate Music. In an interview he said that he had written most of the songs for the artists on the label of KCEE and his brother E-Money, but it was not much appreciated. It was obvious that the breakup was not friendly, but everything seemed to be happening in December at the 2016 Headies, where Harry and KCEE received the award of Reggae Blues and assembled the stage together. As January 2017 approached, the mobile police stormed Harry’s house and took him to court for breach of contract, fraud, and several unspecified charges. He was released 2 days later and went on Instagram to apologize to Kcee, e-money, and announce his immediate return to the Five Star Music Group.
In May 2017, he relaunched Alter Plate Music, revealing that he had made an agreement with Five Star to leave, and that they had given their blessing.
However, in July, Kcee sentenced Harry to human rights violations – claiming that Harry threatened his life.
At the time of publication, we do not know the status of this case. But we know that labels and artists are doing well, for themselves musically.
