12 Nigerian Artistes who have had issues with their Record Label – #2 & #4 would have ended their careers if they didn’t leave (Photos)

7 Ruggedman vs Little Fish

After Ruggedman dropped his marriages and revolutionized hip hop in Nigeria, Muri Ejalonibu, founder of Little Fish Records, offered him a contract. The owner of the label wanted to be a serious competitor to Kennis Music – who was then the big fish – and signed on the rapper who already had beef with them, based on his Ehen song. In short, the relationship, which started off really well, slowed down when Little Fish asked him to stop harassing people and talking about other things. Rugged heard nothing of it, so he left, and the label – which had Acts like ArtQuake – collapsed.

Rugged may not be as relevant as it was then, but it’s still a name people remember.
